The Rev'd A. Michael Singer has been Rector of St. Mary's since August 1999. He was born in Waynesboro, PA. Michael attended Morris Harvey College (now the University of Charleston), in Charleston, WV where he earned a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy in 1977. While in college he met his wife Teresa. They were married in 1978. They have one daughter, Rachel. Following college Michael attended Nashotah House, a Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, where he earned a M.Div. in 1980. That same year he was ordained to the Deaconate and Priesthood in the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania. He has served parishes in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Michael enjoys spending time with his family, walking, photography, and going to the movies.
Assistant Rector

Tom has been the Assistant Rector at St. Mary's since August, 2011. He grew up in Cheverly, MD and moved to Snow Hill, NC as a teenager. After finishing high school at Arendell Parrott Academy in Kinston, NC, he attended the US Coast Guard Academy and graduated with a B.S. in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. His Coast Guard career included duty as an engineer on a polar ice breaker in Seattle, WA and an environmental response officer in Elizabeth City, NC. In 2008, he and his wife, Holly, moved to Durham, NC where he attended Duke Divinity School (M.Div. 2011 with certificate in Anglican Studies) and she completed medical residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center. Tom was ordained a priest in February of 2012. He and Holly have one son, Jude, and enjoy cooking (and eating!), being in the outdoors, and fellowshippin' with friends and family.

Linda Johnson joined St. Mary’s in February 2014 as our Parish Secretary. She retired from the State of North Carolina with 25 years of service at Caswell Developmental Center in January 2013.
Linda and husband, Randy have two children, Jennifer and Jamie, and 2 granddaughters. She enjoys spending time with family, preparing meals for family get-togethers, reading and spending time with her animals.
Linda and Randy are active members of 902 Church.

Nick Voermans was raised near Green Bay, Wisconsin and earned a Bachelor's from Iowa State University. Voermans began organ lessons at the age of six and was regularly playing in church at twelve years of age. Voermans participated in athletics in high school earning multiple letters while also earning multiple awards in the prose category of Wisconsin State Forensics as well as the Wisconsin Forensics Coaches Association. Voermans earned his Masters Degree from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ studying organ with Alan Morrison. During the 2010-2011 academic year, Nick was named Choral Scholar at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Away from his musical activities, Voermans enjoys yoga and other physical fitness activities such as weight lifting where he visits Gold's Gym four times a week. Voermans is also a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
